eBook
eBooks have become increasingly popular in higher education as a means of delivering content that is accessible, responsive and interactive. Students can store thousands of eBooks on their chosen e-reader device and quickly search for terms and key content and make annotations where required.
Within LBS, the Library provides access to eBook content from several publishers. In addition, some faculty colleagues have created their own eBooks and provided students with direct access.
When implemented successfully, eBooks provide an accessible and responsive platform for students to review materials on any device. Alongside course readings lists, students should be made aware of online repositories, some of which are available through the LBS Library.
- The London Business School Library Service provides access to eBooks.
- Many commercial eBooks are published in PDF, ePub or proprietary formats such as the Kindle AZW format. Therefore they may only work on specific devices.
- Some platforms may require the use of their own application in order to access content.
